Sounds like my first First with t'other half too He also likes window seats, so after the trip out in the middle seats he was persuaded to then move to the side and it's been windows ever since. If you ever get to fly First on the 747 (I know you're not this trip), then 1A/K is a great compromise... can't stand either seat as a solo traveller (much less privacy), but it's great when travelling with your better half.
