Most if not all bloggers earn when they generate traffic to their sites. Some offer "consultations" and such for signing up on their page...most often than not they earn from credit card sign-ups from their blogs too. So bloggers would need to tap a wider set of audiences to maximize their traffic. This happened towards late last year when several videos on YouTube went viral on social media which was later picked up by mainstream media....it might have generated the desired traffic for the bloggers but suddenly every Tom, Dick and Harry wanted a piece of the action.
