And by the by remember that if one looks at the EK awards it's rare very rare to book j or F all the way through to say JNB or CPT. One can get FC fairly easy to DXB but then the wait begins.
Sticking to A380 routes it is relatively easy to get F and J. It's the cities that only get 777 service that seem to have limited space released on them (from what I have seen at least), whether it is South Africa or Japan, as well as certain SE Asian cities.
