Taipei and CKS airport

There has been quite a buzz at the the AA forum for taking mileage runs to Taipei due to a fare special. Consequently, there's been a great many exchange of information regarding Taipei and the CKS airport. However, the information exists in different threads under different topics.

So, I'll be the first to start a thread in this forum, dedicated to just information for Taipei, and hopefully there will be other contributors to keep this thread updated for past and future visitors to Taipei.

If you have never been to Taipei or Taiwan, the must-see place is the National Palace Museum. It contains priceless collection of Chinese art and treasures. The collection of about 700,000 items were shipped by the Nationalists to Taiwan, and fortunately escaped destruction by the Communists and the Cultural Revolution in China.
