I disagree with the first part. BRU airport is still closed and so it isn't voluntary to change airports. Fortunately there are several options flying EK.

I agree with the second part - the inconvenience of having to make last minute changes of plans and possibly not flying on the intended date would make it worthwhile, for me, to make the change now.
