Most people are both extremely competent and extremely nice and it makes a huge difference. However, without going into names for obvious confidentiality reasons, I was wondering if I am the only one with some "favourites" amongst the people who help us. The team is small enough that one often recognises voices (and that many of them recognise our voice too before we even introduce ourselves!) and I wouldn't be surprised if others, just like myself end up particularly hoping to be answered and helped by X or Y!

By the way, if I were to make a recommendation to the people organising BA events for GGL guests (I have never been invited to one myself but heard that they are regular!) it would probably be to organise something with the GGL team. I'm sure that it would be fun and exciting to be able to put some faces on first names on both sides of the table!
Couldn't agree more - the team is great and most of them go well out of their way to help. Recently had a terrier who would not accept the computer telling him that there was no availability CW to F on a KUL run.

Despite being one of the first CIV100s (it is still a mystery how many there are), I have never been invited to a GGL event! However, if we had a GGL FTer in Manchester who would be interested in organizing a "do", I would make every effort to attend. I used to go to JNB a lot and would often drop by the Rosebank office with a box of Swiss chocolates to say thank you. I would love to say thank you to the GGL team in Manchester in person.
