For example, if you're from Australia but are wondering about places to stay in Tasmania or Bali, there are locals and frequent visitors who can give you good advice.

What this site is not for, and where people get very shirty pretty quickly, is finding you a travel deal, either for cash or miles. FT is not a travel agency, nor a reward booking service, so when people come along and post 'I need to fly from Omaha to Florence in July this year, please tell me how to get four business class seats for under $900' we usually reply with 'call a travel agent!'
