I actually have a green check for the Schedule Change on the domestic one..... but it only changed by 5 minutes unfortunately

It never hurts to call and ask. The worst they can say is "No". My change was closer to 30 minutes (it really went from just over 2.5 hours down to 2 hours) and the agent didn't object when I asked and actually understood why I was requesting it and helped push the change through. Maybe you'll get an agent who is willing to push it through to give you a more reasonable connection as well.
