Dublin is a compact city, great for those who like to walk. Bring some comfortable walking shoes. Check out Trinity College and the long room with the 9th century illuminated Book of Kells, the National Museum with the Tara Brooch and other ancient Irish and Viking artifacts, the National Gallery with excellent works of art including an exquisite collection from the great masters; St. Patrick's, built on the site where St. Patrick once preached.
For shopping, head to Grafton Street. For nightlife, the Temple Bar district is alive. For first time visitors the Dublin hop-on, hop-off bus will give you your bearings, Taxis are relatively cheap. Bank of Ireland ATM machine to the right as you exit customs gives you an excellent exchange rate. Most of all, enjoy Irish hospitality. Wonderful people, very courteous and friendly.</font>
Many thanks.:-)
