Better than the Ring of Kerry, I recommend Dingle penninsula. Stay in Dingle (some really fine B&B's here - buy this book for listings "Bed and Breakfast Ireland")- the best town we stayed in by far. Drive to the end of the penninsula one day for some great views. Also, MUST take Connor Pass into or out of Dingle town - WOW!

Good sites - Muckross House for shopping, gardens, etc.

Blarney Castle was actually ok, but we got there when it wasn't too busy.

Cliffs of Mohr were pretty good too.

And don't miss the cute town of Adare(stay at Adare Manor if your budget allows - WOW!!!)
