AA will likely refuse to check in passenger's bag for a flight for which the passenger has not yet checked in and not been issued a boarding pass. And getting checked in for a continuing flight on a ticket when not having yet checked in and flown the first booked segments on the ticketed PNR? Frequently a problem, when attempted.
