No. If you pay with Platinum you earn one point per dollar. The Premier Rewards Gold bonus categories do not apply. The sentence that you quoted refers to the monetary value per point when redeemed, not to the earnings rate. There is no difference in redemption value between Platinum, Gold and Green products.
