It is my responsibility to "eat around" my sensitivities, and allergies, but a million times easier to do that if they say what they're serving. With all the attention to food waste, I don't want to bring food on and find the meal selections are AOK for me and I don't want to starve on a transcon because I rolled the dice and crapped out. I know, AC IT, but this would help SO much.
I have asked Ben Smith about this a while back, FWIW. I totally agree with you. I have also mentioned to him the issue about dairy being everywhere on AC flights. He had let me know he's looking into it but I have not followed up with him.
