Feeling a bit of a numpty at the moment. Have done OLCI for my GLA-DXB-PEK flights on Thursday. Is it still possible to U/G using miles after OLCI or is the only chance of doing it now at the airport/on board?

Have enough miles to U/G to First on the GLA-DXB and currently there are seats available. I just jumped the gun and done OLCI without thinking about it. Now, having mulled it over, I would probably benefit from the experience most on the GLA-DXB flight as I probably won't be doing much sleeping on that sector .

The other added sticky bit of only able to U/G at the airport/on board now is that I have a special meal ordered. Would this affect the ability to U/G using miles?

Stupid, silly me .

Edit: Scrub the question folks. Found out for myself. Tried doing it online and EK took the miles then advised they couldn't complete the upgrade and to call their service centre. Quick phonecall and the CS Agent offloaded me and processed the upgrade. All fine after a minute or two in MMB. Seat selected. Special meal re-ordered. The only thing was my pick-up from home that had dropped off MMB. Another quick phonecall and reassured the pick up was okay and an e-mail received to confirm all the details.

Really looking forward to this now - and that is me going back to work. Never thought I'd say I was looking forward to a flight in that direction
