Why do you think it was BA that 'killed accruals'? In OW the marketing carrier awards miles and pays for them. It does not matter what AA awards to its own members when it comes to earnings in partner programmes. AA may have very well decided that it has already captured/has the power to capture many BAEC members through the partnership with BA that it does not need to provide more incentives. AA decides how much it wants to award to BAEC members to entice them to fly AA. And the agreement between BA and AA says that F is treated as F for both earning and redeeming even on 2 class services.
