That airport is a mess all the time, add the issue of an incoming plane getting taken, and the mess is multiplied .

I would write off the phone (and hope you have a cloud backup).

BTW, for the next time, calling is not always the best course, there are built in solutions within the Android OS to allow you to track the phone and it's last location.
