WA, lodging in Pemberton-don't be fooled
We stayed a night at the highly rated Karri Forest Motel and were disappointed. Somewhat remotely located off the freeway several blocks. The units are average. We paid A$85 for a standard single. We did not eat there, although facilities are available. Seems you have to tell them at check in if you want to have dinner that night or breakfast in the am.
Lots of facitlies available. The solar heated pool (without any equipment) left the water to cold to use, but it was so dirty you would not want too. The spa was no where to be found. They have only one washer and one dryer. The later must be broken as it took 4 dries @$2 per to dry each load. They did have a close line where we hung one load with the first was in the dryer. This lower the time to dry those close to only 3 $2 cycles with a couple items having to lay out overnight in the room. The laundry room has an iron. Bring chairs up from the pool if you wish to sit.
The room was quite small but usable. Amenities were not. Towels thin. Bed adequate. Noise lever modest, however it could be very noise with the wrong neighbors. Single store units scattered around the property in various size groupings. Adequate free parking. Limited office hours.
I definitely would stay somewhere else if we returned to the area.
