You don't need to go landslide if you're HBO at EDI but you will if you have to collect a checked bag. I've been travelling almost weekly to/from EDI for the last two years, and as c-w-s mentioned, I've not seen a bus transfer for BA flight. Duty Free is opposite Gates 9/10.
