The mind boggles as to what may be purchased at EDI that is unavailable at LHR and worthy of the hassle involved.
I would suggest plenty of bubble wrap or towels in your case as a precaution against the bag being put in the hold.
LHR is my starting point yes want to buy at EDI airside, as they have good choices of Gin, and Dark rum there which cannot buy in LHR. Have no fear have already worked it out that we will take up plenty of towels to wrap up bottles, and then just wheel the case onto the aircraft back to LHR.
