It might also help to think about what aspects of business class matter most to you: flat beds, good lounges, good F&B, good on board service, good ground service, etc. The mainalnd Chinese carriers are generally bad for lounges and ground service, especially during IROPs. Their F&B is often considered inferior too.
Im going to Qingdao which from what ive seen maybe only ANA would be able to support a flight there so i would most likely have to buy that last leg on any other program, for me im leaning towards using Japan Airlines for flights to tokyo, and cathay for flights to hong kong whichever has availability as they are probably the two best and cheapest
