Being in a family account you can benefit from a cobined avois and which is a benefit when spending (with permission of course) (spending when over 18 though).

Being in a family account, you can be any age. I would recommend canceling the account and then rejoining the family account for this year (with correct date of birth) then when you reach 18 call up BA and remove yourself from the family account.
