My fiancée and I are booked to fly MIA-LHR today on BA208 in WTP. We're on separate bookings but are both BAEC Silver and had chosen 12A and 12B months ago. We went to check in last night and she had been moved from 12A to 12F. I stopped the check in process at this point - any idea why this has happened and what the possible recourse is?

I appreciate T&Cs state that one can be moved at any juncture and am fully aware to just be told to lump it, but it's really frustrating to be separated from one another, particularly as we'd specifically booked for two seats together in the 2-4-2 WTP offers and now there's absolutely no availability anywhere in the cabin.
