Honestly I would send this up the food chain. Find the e-mail for the Director of Customer Relations or whatever they call it now. I am sure others might disagree that this isn't important enough of an issue. I think the lack of any service recovery warrants more awareness from higher-ups.
At this point I would make it about the GA, the canned response from 1KVoice, and your concern with their IT systems and not so much about the upgrade. How this has been handled is kind of ridiculous.
