You're better off dealing with a TA in Australia if you want to book a LH/LX fare. LX in Aus can't ticket directly, and as you've found out the LH call center in Australia quotes ridiculously high premium cabin fares.
I travel return F from SYD via SQ to Asia then LH onwards to Europe every few months. PM me if you need help with that, although if you're looking for RTW I can't help much with that.
The LH/SQ JV will be interesting for us when more details are announced.

I knew LX AU (Walsh Group acting as LX agents) dont ticket which is why I always used LH callcentre -after shopping around they were on par with what TA offer - but looks like this will have to be the way to go from now on
I use the LX and LH Global Fares in half combo basis, which are technically not RTW fares, but you can use them as RTW. I like travelling to EU/IL via USA outbound and inbound to rack up points - and also to upgrade to UA F (although this is no longer possible with the demise of UA GlobalFirst to Australia)
