This doesn't mean that the Macri government may not be considering eliminating this fee for Canada and Australia as part of their efforts to boost tourism. I don't think there is any hard evidence of the fee significantly hurting tourism numbers, although I know various FTers have used this as a "relevant excuse" to not come to EZE.....

FWIW or not, I have never gotten even a whiff of the reciprocity fee for Canadians and Australians coming to an end. But I will say that the changes the US got Argentina to make are going to be looked at kindly by relevant authorities in Australia and Canada. That may result in new Canadian and Australian arrangements for Argentines at some point down the road. I have no time frame for this.
