It is not the choice of the disabled passenger to queue jump. That's the policy of the airport so please stop giving me dirty looks
It's also my first lhr flight. And I am bricking it that the service to transfer me is going to be inadequate and I'm not going to get to enjoy my first club world experience.
I, too, am a young spoonie who looks fine when I am not using a cane. I don't get too much grief for looking "fine". One BA member of staff tried to be sarcastic when I said I needed to pre-board but I put her back in her box, with an equally sarcastic reply. :P
I have no compunction in "queue-jumping" because special assistance passengers tend to be kept waiting in other areas .
On the whole, staff are fine. I pay little attention to other passengers' thoughts or opinions.
LHR's special assistance isn't the best but they do prioritise passengers with onward connections. If they have lounge access, they will take you to the lounge and collect you later. You might need to state that to the assistance per on in case they assume you have no lounge access.
