I was recently out of the UK and received an email from BA with an itinerary change for a future flight. I phoned BA who said, because it was an Avios booking, I had to contact BAEC. This proved to be a relative nightmare. At one point I was on hold for one hour 45 minutes before giving up. Fortunately, I was in the US and could use a freephone number via a Wi-Fi app otherwise it would have cost the earth. I need to change another itinerary for an Avios booking and don't want to spend forever on hold again or rack up a large bill on my mobile whilst on hold. Is there a better way to get hold of BAEC on the phone other than by dialling the published 0844 number?
