Compare to Hyatt Aruba, which one is better if one don't care about the all inclusive feature.
Yes, it is "protected" on both the Ziva and Zilara side. On the Ziva side it is very protected. In this picture I took you can see the rock jetty wraps out from the beach almost all the way to the gazebo, creating an almost-still-water section.
