that's interesting, did you check in at the J counters at LHR T5? I just took a flight two weeks ago on BA + QR as separate tickets, the staff was at first agreeable but once she saw it was QR, she said no because "QR was not part of oneworld"! I honestly wanted to laugh but I politely told her that yes, it is! Staff next to her also confirmed it, and she quickly backtracked and told me then of course it could be done.

i'll be flying the LHR-OSL-DOH leg soon, may I ask how long of a transit time you gave yourself at OSL? My flight is the 6pm flight and I was thinking of getting the BA flight that arrives at 4.10pm...... Without baggage it should be doable but I'm scared what happened to you will happen to me!
