SNA upgrades are automatically confirmed by the computer system. Contacting someone at the property, including the GM, shouldn't make a difference.
However, IIRC, SNAs are nontransferable: to use them, their owner myst be staying. I hope the OP doesn't plan to go along to Paris on his/her daughter's honeymoon and stay at the same hotel as the newlyweds.
