I stayed at the Dead Sea resort I think back in 1997. It had just about opened. Got upgraded to RC. I think I was Diamond then as well.
Many things did not work there and I sent a constructive email to the GM.
Never asked for any type of compensation whatsoever.... But they refunded the full 5 day stay inluding all F&B charges. Some 1000$. I was amazed.

I really wish Hyatt would enter Israel again. TLV would have been a beach hotel. And Jerusalem of course :-)
