I'd like them to just focus on prioritizing paying customers' on-board selections over non-revs, please.
As a non-rev, I agree 100%. We're not supposed to draw attention to the fact that we're non-rev, and the manifest/tablet indicate it anyway, so I don't blurt that out over my seatmate when the FA is taking orders; however, if the FA asks for my choice during the normal course of ordering, I always preface my selection with "If you have enough"... Our revenue passengers should definitely not be denied their choice of meal in favor of a non-rev.
