I booked an LX (intra-europe) flight today, it took an hour to ticket. I then discovered that even booking via UA I'm getting the "light" fares, decided to cancel (2-3 hours after booking). The website errored out after the screen where you choose between refund or flight credit (I selected refund).
Now I don't know what's happening with my payment. The flight initially appeared under cancelled itineraries, and now appears under "Inactive" itineraries. I see the following banner, but selecting "Change flights" also errors out. There's still a hold on my payment card, so no idea what's going on.
"Your itinerary cannot be retrieved because it has been cancelled. You may use the remaining value of your ticket toward a new flight by selecting the "Change Flight" link below. A change fee may apply.
// Edit: turns out my "inactive" itinerary has a cancel link, which lets me choose between refund and credit again, this errors out again. I guess that means the refund didn't work. I might try calling tomorrow, but worst case I'll have to chargeback...
// Edit: 3 tries later, the cancellation worked? Except now it claims it's giving me credit instead of refunding.
