On the other hand...my last trip on a Costa owned ship was on Ocean Pearl toward the end of her life in Asia. The cruise itself was terrific BUT we were flying out of LAX the weekend the Unibomber threatened to blow up that airport. So, we appealed to Costa to change our flight through another city. They claimed they did not have time and their travel mgr promised a refund of so much money (can't recall the number anymore) if we would rebook ourselves. We got hold of a consolidator, booked the air through SFO. When we returned, the Costa mgr had refunded over $2000 (3 of us traveling) less than our agreement. My fault for not getting it in writing. Hers for lying to her superior about the agreement. I wrote the president of Costa but got nowhere. I would NEVER go on Costa again. My so-called travel agent would not help a bit so it was the last time I used him also.
