So far the best deal that I've found for maxing out the promo on regular paid stays would be a combo of using a negotiated rate at a Hyatt on another continent and then doing one of the two (depending on if the account is or is not a Diamond account): 1) use the Citi credit card where it covers the fourth night of the stay; or 2) doing 25 one-night stays at the same property.
DFW traditionally has the lowest rates - 25 one night stays at a HH or HP in the metroplex at 59/night (which can still be had) would net you a significant amount of points to achieve ones mattress "runs." IBM rate allows for more nights @ 59/night as well for those crunching it in.
w/ the 500/night diamond bonus + 75k bonus + standard points you should get quite a bit for about that pricepoint. I dont see the point of it, but if someone wants thats probably as good as one can get.
