"Old Blue Cash", PRG, or neither?
Longtime reader, first time poster...
I've had the "Old Blue Cash" card since 2009 and have used it as my primary card for quite some time. I've recently started considering the PRG card but I'm not sure whether my spend justifies the $195 fee or whether this is a good fit for me at all.
According to my Amex yearly spending report, here is my 2015 history:
Total Spend: $26.6k
Restaurant: $6.5k
Transportation: $4.3k (Looks like this lumps in lots of categories from gas to auto parts to convenience store purchases...)
Travel: $1.3k (Looks like this is mostly Airbnb, hotels, rental car, etc.)
Based on these numbers, should I stick with the Old Blue Cash or do I stand to gain more through Amex MR points?
I don't do too much air travel though I may take a handful of short domestic flights this year on Spirit Airlines, or possibly Southwest. Also, can the $100 PRG travel reimbursement be used for Spirit ("NKS") gift cards? I understand that this is possible with some airlines, but I haven't been able to find a thread specifically for Spirit reimbursements.
Thanks!
