I saw this:

And it LOOKS like you can book KE from JFK to HNL via LAX using skymiles via the SkyTeam alliance.

This seems to indicate that you can as well, but only business/economy.

But then someone else mentioned in another post that KE only has 2 flights from JFK and they go to ICN, not JFK to LAX?

I was *thinking* of trying to book KE business class JFK to LAX to HNL.

But now I'm not sure if that can even be done.

I was also confused by this:

Note that I'd be looking at 2 seats for the roundtrip flights. Nothing in concrete yet, it's just a dream right now (LOL).

I don't mind using one of those travel site that specializes in award ticketing, but I'd like to know if what I think can be done can even be done.

LOL

Thanks!
Foreign carriers can't fly US domestic routes by law and KE doesn't fly any of those routes (besides JFK-ICN nonstop).

That first article is talking about using KE miles, if one had them by crediting flights to KE's frequent flyer program or by transferring miles from Chase Ultimate Rewards, to redeem for Delta flights. The article doesn't mention that the chances of finding the necessary "low" level awards on Delta flights to Hawaii are very low.

If you have DL miles this isn't of any use to you since you can't convert DL miles into KE miles.
