Exactly. If I hadn't managed to get a mileage upgrade on a TPac in May, I would have probably looked for award space on ORD-SFO, even if only for a quick overnight trip on a weekend, just to get the upper deck. Folks doing this aren't in it for the "meal choice."
And I'm from Michigan now living in Colorado, so can go SFO-ORD-Michigan. (or start at a regional Cal airport and connect).
I know in itself it's a terrible redemption, I don't argue that. Just want to say I did it.
