Many people here with status have bragged about booking multiple F tickets for 6 or more separate trips when they plan to only take 1 trip just because they can. I know personally someone who define try has no intention of using all the awards he has booked. Since they don't have to pay to redeposit they don't care whether they are hoarding. One person called it arbitrage, another referred to it as hedging.

I'm not hoarding my crappy dates. I will take my trip on those dates if I have to but my preferred travel dates are after Feb.14, 2017,the last date I could have booked by March 22.
