Thanks all, trip is booked for a Thanksgiving day departure. Did 4 one way on AA to go out, 4 one way on UA to come back. All on same flights and seated with each other. Had to do two itineraries for AA as the miles were split between my wife and I. I did have to pay to move 18,000 miles from my account to make this work, so that was about $200, AA taxes were around $100, UA taxes were around $250. My wife just got her AA card, but I didn't want to wait another 2-3 months for her to get those miles to book (and figured with AA reward costs going up today, it would save me 20,000 miles if I booked yesterday). I'll save her 50k bonus for our next trip
