UA is running 2x 777 ORD-SFO on Sun April 3. At least one of these is a domestic config though.
The 744 is daily and had been a while, 777 doesn't run on all days, the day that you saw 2 777 for ORD-SFO, the 744 is not running.

Most likely is because UA had cut down ORD-SEA to 4 flights a day, it used to have at least 6 flights if not 8 on a weekday.

Why would you even bother to use miles for domestic flights ? Not to mention for C class ? Just to try to fly on the 747 upper deck ? You do know that when 3 class planes flying domestic, C class have no choice of meal right ? Only F class does.
