Ever consider the nutritional (non-)value of fast food?

Who cares about taste, run to the library or bookstore and read Eric Schlosser's fascinating book FAST FOOD NATION: THE DARK SIDE OF THE ALL-AMERICAN MEAL.

It will change your attitude toward food, nutrition, consumerism, and the marketing machine that is dumbing down America toward a lowest-common-denominator society.

No wonder we are so far behind Europe in most social indicators. Like reading...we have a lower literacy rate now than EVERY country in Western Europe because of fast food, television, and our lousy education system, which promotes fast food in public schools (vending machines full of chips, agreements between school districts and soda companies, etc.).
