There definately will not be inflight visits anymore, like everyone says. But on the ground, still very possible. I'm 20 and an aspiring airline pilot. On a flight from Miami up to Cincinnati last week I stood in the front office for about 15 minutes and gossiped with Captin and First Officer. They showed me the departure, route of flight and I watched them put the SWEED4 arrival to Cincinnati into the computer. Most pilots are very willing to show you and/or your kids anything up front as long as there is time.
