Uh boy ... I'm showing my age as compared PresRDC and B747-437B. When I was a little one - back in the late '60s and early '70s the highlight of my flights would be when the pilot mid-flight invited all the children to come up for a look inside the cockpit (of course, all the dads usually figure they had to escort their kiddies. ) I flew quite a bit then and it happened on every flight I had over about three hours, so it was a regular part of operations.
