Last year, for example, the 787 was used for IAH-LHR and IAH-FRA (or maybe it was IAH-MUC?). That service seems to have been cut back for this fall's flights with other, less personally desirable, equipment used instead.
I've searched the web for pages where UA-specific information on the 787 might have been concentrated but none seem to have been updated for a long time. Have I missed something?
You can fly Dreamliner routes domestically on positioning flights (e.g. IAH-SFO, IAH-DEN). Otherwise, the plan is to have them centralized at SFO, LAX, and IAH (with DEN having the DEN-NRT route serviced by a 788/9). No Dreamliner love for those of us at East Coast hubs, although sometimes it seems like that is a good thing.
