Which course did you play at Royal Melbourne? Did you have the chance to play the Composite set up? I'd also recommend Kingston Heath as well as the Metropolitan. I also just recently spent four days playing the relatively new Heritage course that is at the entrance to the Yarra Valley.

I've spent a lot of time on the Gold Coast and personally, I found The Pines and Sanctuary Cove to be rather dull. Instead, I enjoy The Glades and Lakelands for a bit of a challenge. There is apparently a new course just outside of Brisbane that is also worth a turn that I've not played yet.
