I received the "We're giving you A-List status" email this morning. It is substantially the same as reported in post #1 but differs in the small details: ~2 months vs ~3 months; 2x RT vs 3x RT; and 5,850 TQP vs. 8,750 TQP.
Fly your way to rewards. We're giving you A-List status through May 25. Fly 2
roundtrips to extend it.
As a TSA PreCheck™ and Rapid RewardsŪ Member, you're already getting great
benefits. We're now giving you even more by allowing you to experience A-List
status and its special perks through May 25, with the opportunity to extend
it.
To extend your A-List status through December 31, 2016, register, book, and
complete 2 revenue roundtrip flights (or 4 revenue one-way flights), or earn
5,850 Tier Qualifying Points, between March 21 and May 25, 2016.
I have never had WN status, used to fly them semi-frequently for leisure purposes (primarily a handful of CA/NV plus 1-2x TCON per year), but in the last 2-3 years started driving a lot more for shorter distances and hardly ever use WN anymore. I have a single one-way booking coming up in June.
