I have been in transit without a visa. When you disembark, go to the passport control area and speak to an official. They will escort you through a door to the right which takes you to the check in area. Once you get your new boarding pass, go upstairs to Immigration and tell them that you are in Transit. Show them your inbound boarding pass if they ask, just to corroborate your story.

Don't bother with the lounge. The bathroom attendants harass you for money, you are limited to two drinks (water counts as a drink) and the snacks are non existent.

The restaurant is okay but Duty Free is a rip (like elsewhere).
Have fun.
