This is interesting. I thought the coverage would be voided if the rental was not used for business purposes. Apparently it would still be covered.
I just got the Chase Ink Plus benefits guide a couple weeks ago and the language there is similar to this. I think you do have to write a letter stating it was a personal trip if applicable and I believe it has to be notarized.
I also got a new Ink business card this week (ancient Professional converted to Ink) and there is an insert stating that the card should not be used for personal reasons, so Chase is sending conflicting information.
I'll be renting for vacation in Ireland soon. I considered using the Ink Plus since I am trying to meet minimum spend, but decided to stick with the CSP. No point in complicating things if there are problems.
