Ajanta and Ellora caves - can one do it in one day?
We plan to fly in the winter time from Canada to BOM then Aurangabad, and then DEL.
Because of the limitation of time we have in India for a variety of reasons, and the minimal time we need to spend in DEL and BOM seeing friends and family, I believe I can only afford 2 nights stay in Aurangabad.
So can one see both sets of caves in 1 day? If the answer is yes, how does one go to the caves - by a bus tour or just get a taxi? If the latter, what are the hours the 2 sets of caves are open?
How much minimal amount of time should one take seeing the caves?
How far are the caves from Aurangabad and from each other - how much time does it take to drive between these points?
